C'est le romancier britannique Jonathan Coe qui a rédigé une importante biographie ( Histoire d'un éléphant fougueux ) qui parle de l'homme et de ses écrits. C'est passionnant. J'ai envie de courir acheter les livres de B. S. Johnson: Travelling people ( 1963 ), Albert Angelo ( 1964 ), Chalut ( 1966 ), Les malchanceux ( 1969 ), R.A.S. Infirmière-chef ( 1971 ), Christie Marly règle ses comptes ( 1973 ) et See the old lady decently ( 1975 ). Sept livres en dix ans avant de se suicider à l'âge de quarante ans.
